This is one of my favorite early coyote hunting videos from Bucking The Odds! You will here Uriah Wurst’s rifle click and also here a lot of body shuffle on this hunting video. I remember that the coyote was coming in and setting Uriah up for an easy shot. The funny thing is Uriah had lifted the bolt half way up so the rifle wouldn’t go off. This was his idea of an added safety factor. The problem was he forgot about it after we were set up on the coyote stand. I was setting behind the camera thinking what is Uriah waiting for. I finally glanced over at Uriah only to see him twirling his shotgun over his head trying to find the right end. The funny things we do in the heat of the moment on a coyote hunt. I only wish I could of got all that on film.
Uriah ends up hitting this coyote twice with a shotgun. The coyote was tough as nails. You will see it almost buckle to it’s stomach, yet keep on running. We have learned a lot from coyote hunts just like this. Our education grows one hunt at a time.

That is a great lesson for all of us. Check your weapon before you start calling. I have gone out and not had ammo in my rifle. Luckily there was someone else with another rifle there too.
