Uriah Wurst goes solo on this coyote hunt. Lance Benson was busy working so Uriah took a camera man with him to see what he could get done. This was one of the early Bucking The Odds coyote hunts. You will get a kick out of this video. Uriah just went hunting a week before with the famous Tim Wells of Relentless Pursuit. Tim Wells gave Uriah a fist full of tracer rounds. This was the first and last time Uriah used tracer rounds on a coyote hunt. You may say these tracer rounds caused a lot of anxiety! Uriah was separated from the coyote he was shooting at by a canal. This canal became a huge challenge after setting a farmer’s field on fire. I say again this was the first and last time Uriah used tracer rounds. I would have to say the tracer rounds did make good video!

I'm sure you guys laugh at this video now, seeing Uriah running down to the burning field. But that day it happened I bet you were scared . LOL
I remember when I edited the footage… Uriah let me see it first hand… I was cracking up, because I know Uriah very well. When he told me the full story, I was crying with laughter!
That's hilarious. Can't wait to watch that.

Do you know that the farmer actually understood that Uriah was going to shoot tracer rounds. He said there wouldn't be a problem, because the fields were wet… The funny thing is there was really no damage. I am sure the grass grew a little darker and a little greener there the next year. That old farmer will probably want Uriah back for better crops.

P.S on video 11 is that a coyote running behind your right shoulder while you are talking about youre left shoulder?

If I remember correctly that is a vehicle in the distance. We were close to a highway. You only get a glimpse of the vehicle. I have been asked that many times, so it must look like a critter.

Just to clear the air here, the landowner told me that the field should be good to go, it had been watered so the tracers should be fine. He still laughs about the fire and invites me back, I guess he has a since of humor! lol!
Slim i bet you watered the field yourself once you realized it was on fire!
