On this video we hunt a ranch in Kim Colorado. On Saturday we hunt all day and only see one coyote that shows up down wind and doesn’t even give us a chance. Sunday we are pretty discourage, but we love coyote hunting, so we give it another try.
On our first stand I miss a running coyote with my shotgun our camera man Nathan Baker forgets to push record. He felt awful, but this is the reality of trying to film coyote hunts. On our second stand Nathan is able to hit record. We started the stand by slipping over a hill with a huge open valley in front of us. Behind the hill is the highway and our vehicle. This is a pretty safe bet that a coyote wont come from that direction.
This was one of those occasions that the coyotes broke the rules. They ambushed us from the back so fast that we couldn’t react. You will here Uriah’s first shot that sounds like a hit. After that it was all in favor of the coyote.
We made several stands that day with little luck. We had a couple of coyotes show up down wind in a maze of cactus, so we weren’t able to get a safe shot. Finally we get a coyote to come in for a perfect shot and I dry fire. I couldn’t believe I forgot to put a bullet in the chamber on this stand…

Man, that was a hunt! Lance forgot to mention that the two coyotes ran by me at just a few yards. I picked up Lances shot gun to shoot and the gun was empty…
That's okay though, if I weren't Lazy I would have had my own shotgun!
It was a fun coyote hunt, and that is the main goal.

That was another good hunt for the coyotes but we all have these days. Lesson learned
