I just wanted to give you a little product review on the MOJO Puppy. I have to admit that the first time I saw the MOJO Puppy I shook my head. It reminded me of a kid’s toy. Well it’s no toy because it proved to be a legitimate coyote hunting decoy.
Here’s how the MOJO Puppy works. It looks like a little stuffed puppy. It has a tail that is similar to the very successful MOJO Critter. It also has a switch that allows you to just turn on the motion of the tail or another positivism to turn on the sounds of puppy whines and the motion of the tail.
We made our first stand this morning. We started out by putting the decoy out at about 30 yards up wind and turned it on. The first thing I liked was that it doesn’t start whining for several minutes. This gives you plenty of time to get set up and get nestled in.
We were setting on some big open country, so I let out some loud distress sounds on a Loren Reese open read hand call. It wasn’t long and I noticed a young coyote moving in to hearing range. I let out another blast on the call and it started moving our way. I then put down the hand call and let the MOJO Puppy whines take over. It worked perfectly. The coyote staid focused on the puppy and came straight to it.
This gave me time to set back with my Benelli Super Black Eagle II and relax before pulling the trigger and sending a 3-1/2” T shot of Dead Coyote down range. We were only able to make two stands before the wind kicked up out of control. I was wanting to try the MOJO Puppy again but Mother Nature just wouldn’t cooperate.

This was the first weekend using the mojo puppy. The results where amazing. At the second stand the big male almost took the thing off the tri-pod. I will not make another stand with out the company of the decoy.
